The Underachievers Film Postponed
August 19th, 2006 - Santa Clara, CA.

Although The Underachievers - Champions of Mediocrity should be in production there have been numerous set backs. The largest problem has been funding for the movie along with a cast that has been less than committed. These two issues combined have made D.B. Cheng realize now is not the time to shoot another film. However, once the proper funds are raised for Underachievers, D.B. will start production.

Rather than focusing on the negative, D.B. Cheng has decided to move forward with other projects. Currently, D.B. is working on a sitcom that he hopes will be picked up by TV20 (formerly WB20). D.B. has also opened up negotiations with Reel Asian Films, a distributor of Asian American films, for the distribution of So Beauty. If negotiations are successful, So Beauty could be available nationwide by September of 2006.
